VMware have done away with the simple OVF install for the vCenter Server Appliance (vCSA). The new install method involves mounting an .iso file and then double-clicking on a .html file contained in the same .iso. Easier said than done

VMware have a KB article on the above, which someone must have done in a hurry. If you know your way around Windows, you’ll be able to take ownership of the directory mentioned below and assign the appropriate permissions. In my case, the instructions below weren’t easy to follow on Windows 2008 R2.
