Neil Davison
IT Director, Farrer & Co
Neil is responsible for Farrer’s IT & Communications systems. With over 20 years’ experience in law firms, he has an excellent appreciation of the needs of lawyers and the importance of outstanding client service.Neil’s experience in the professional services arena started at Norton Rose, before he joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he led several international projects. A spell at RPC followed, before joining Farrer & Co in 2008.Neil has developed an IT strategy based on efficiency, transformation and value, with a strong focus on ‘cloud first, mobile first’. This strategy supports the firm’s flexible working programme and ensures a modern IT platform for a firm with a 300+ year history.
Ian Golding
Interim CIO, Natural History Museum
Ian has been Chief Information Officer, Chief Technical Officer and Data Privacy Officer leading global commercial technology programmes for over 20 years and has a passion for fostering collaboration and innovation to exploit the benefits of technology and data in permanent, interim, fractional and private consulting roles.
He is currently Interim CIO at The Natural History Museum, developing the Technology Strategy and Vision to support the its dual role as a centre of excellence in leading scientific research and as a world leading museum that is digitising its vast 86M collection.  In 2017 As the RNLI’s first CIO (Interim) he created the Institution’s first digital, information and technology strategy including new capability for fundraising, predictive analytics and data-based insights that will help the RNLl to break the chain of events that can tragically lead to drowning.  Ian was also recently Interim IT Director at Southern Housing Group and prior to Interim roles was Group CIO, Data Privacy Officer and Senior Partner for The ERM Group through its largest growth phase over 4 private equity cycles, to 5,200 staff across 140 offices worldwide.
Ian is a Fellow of The Institute of Directors, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Chartered Professional Fellow of The BCS.   He is also an investor and mentors digital startups.  By devoting time to assisting emerging businesses and small investments to advance, Ian’s aim is to help grow the digital ecosystem.
Nick Martin
Managing Director, SystemsUp
Nick has a long track record of working with clients to deliver successful digital transformation projects that result in operational improvement and measurable business outcomes. Nick and his team of highly certified consultants have helped clients in the public and private sectors to build secure cloud platforms, optimise application performance, use data to improve critical decision-making, enhance mobility and collaboration, and ensure better service deliver.
Simon Pamplin
EMEA Technical Sales Director, Silver Peak
Simon is a regular speaker at events on topics ranging from the latest storage technologies and server virtualization to the current shift in Data Networking towards SD-WAN. With over 20 years’ experience in enterprise IT Simon has worked for IP, SAN and hyper-convergent companies and is driven by new technology and the business benefits it can bring.
Gemma Allen
Cloud Security Solutions Architect, Barracuda
Gemma works extensively on solutions within public cloud architectures underpinned by over 15 years’ experience giving a strong understanding of; firewalls, load balancers, network infrastructure, Windows OS’s and applications such as SQL, Exchange and AD. Her specialisms include:
Cloud computing (IaaS,PaaS); Powershell automation; SIEM ; Disaster Recovery design and management; incident management and problem management.
Stephen Porter
Cloud Alliance Director EMEA, Turbonomic
Stephen has been involved in IT for three decades, living through the various evolutions in Infrastructure. He was part of the Incubation team as Azure came to market and has been involved in the public cloud with AWS and Azure for many years.
Working for various leading IT vendors including EMC, Unisys, Microsoft and Cloud consultancy Ensono supporting client and partner engagements. This has included legal clients, helping to build solutions that address the compliance and business requirements.
He now leads the Microsoft Alliance for Turbonomic across EMEA, supporting the development of GTM campaigns to create customer value through using the cloud to drive digital transformation..
