Eighteen months ago we reported on the early stages of our work to help a leading UK law firm move their entire IT estate to Microsoft Azure.
Farrer & Co LLP wanted to replace their existing infrastructure with “an entirely new, next generation IT platform” to transform service delivery. The aim was to enhance productivity and user experience across the organisation by moving to a secure Azure hybrid cloud platform and a collaborative next generation desktop environment based on Office 365 and Windows 10
That work is now complete. SystemsUp continues to work in partnership with the IT team at Farrer as they move forward with their digital transformation strategy, providing expert technical support as and when required.
Caroline Hill, editor at LegalIT Insider, spoke to us when the project got underway late in 2017 and she was keen to get an update on how the project had gone.
She caught up with Neil Davison and Andy Beech – IT Director and Head of IT Systems respectively at Farrer – and our managing director Nick Martin, to find out how the move had gone and what Microsoft Azure migration challenges they had faced along the way.
