of any project, we work with the client
to define a binding set of deliverables.
We follow this with a full discovery of
the environment, presented as a current
state assessment. This combined information
is used to create high level technical designs.:
This approach, strongly influenced by Prince2
and the Microsoft Solutions Framework, enables
SystemsUp to take on the risk and propose
a fixed price piece of work. Deliverables
are underwritten with part payments only
receivable on completion of pre agreed milestones.
By undertaking the initial phases outlined
above, assumptions are minimised, reducing
risk and guaranteeing successful project
delivery. Experience has taught us that
following this method avoids the pitfalls
of the more common assumption based proposals.
These pitfalls typically result in disrupted
project schedules and escalating costs,
and in the worst cases; project failure.
