SystemsUp were taken on as recognised
Virtualisation specialists to review
the leading, global landing gear overhaul
and repair company’s virtualised
infrastructure. Solutions were proposed
centring on improving the stability
of Hawker Pacific’s VMware environment
and enabling its more advanced features.
Business continuity was improved through
the implementation of a disk based backup
solution to replace unreliable and management
intensive tape technology. Issues related
to networking, disk management, snapshot
management and configuration had prevented
the advanced features of High Availability
and Dynamic Resource Scheduler from
working. Cluster based High Availability
was achieved for all servers, importantly
the previously unprotected Exchange
server as these issues were remediated.
A flexible, higher performance file
server was delivered to improve worker
productivity. The business critical
file server with 1.5 TB of data was
migrated from the Virtual environment
to a physical server. |
